The year has certainly been eventful, hasn’t it?
We live in an uncertain world full of challenges, opportunities for learning, and opportunities for growth. I don’t know about you, but I think I learned the most about myself in 2021 compared to any previous year. I will use these lessons in 2022.
However, there’s that feeling that we’re entering it alone. Being single. I had a spark this last week, but the spark dimmed and the flame died out. It was a one-sided flame. Thankfully, the gentleman I am referring to let me know he didn’t want to go forward rather than ghost me. But, what a sad state of affairs it is that that is all you can hope for, the respect and kindness with which another human being should be treated.
The thing that makes this difficult is that I thought there was a connection. The banter was playful and numerous. It continued after we met for coffee on Christmas Day. Sparks have a tendency to dim with time, as we know. Likewise, when the wind blows, they burn out, and dating online is a good example of how you can always find a brighter, shinier, more interesting bulb if you just hang on and hang on long enough.
It’s my intention for 2022 to find true love, and I know he’s coming to me. Maybe I already know him.
It is my hope that anyone reading this can relate, and will join me on this journey. As I enter 2022, I have a strong sense of self-love, something I was lacking from 2021.
And I hope for all reading this that 2022 will be a year filled with curiosity, adventure and find true love.
